About Larisa

Larisa Naples is an award-winning poet and screenwriter, and a radio-playwright whose works have been heard on “The Sonic Society” (on CKDU 88.1 FM, Nova Scotia, Canada), and “Sound Affects: A Radio Playground” (on KFAI 90.3 FM, Minneapolis, and 106.7 FM, St. Paul). Living in Silicon Valley, surrounded by busy, productive people on the go, Larisa realized that many people would love to enjoy a story well told, but often get their “down-time” in 10-20 minute chunks, in completely inconvenient places: stuck in traffic in a car, waiting to pick up the kids at school, on a treadmill at the gym, in an airport departure lounge, or even worse — hoarding battery-life while sitting in an airplane on the tarmac.  Short-form e-fiction and audio-dramas seemed a natural fit. So now she proudly offers up…

“original e-fiction, and audio-dramatic ear candy for people on the go”

The daughter of an airport architect, Larisa was raised a Global Nomad with childhood homes in Caracas, Tehran, Tel Aviv, and New York.  As a child, she routinely haggled for trinkets in dusty bazaars, romped about in archaeological ruins, and soaked up many different forms of ethnic music, dance, literature, and theatre.   She still likes to travel whenever she can, but when not headed to or from an airport departure lounge, Larisa spends her time restoring native ecosystems, and dancing with her husband.
